Surprise Arrival!

Well - we did know he was coming, but we didn't think he was coming until March 13th!

As most of you already know, Noah James decided to surprise us and show up on March 8th instead. I had an appointment with my doctor that morning, and she decided that I would never make it to March 13th so she moved my c-section date up to that day! We hadn't brought my hospital bag with us, so Frederic and Benjamin had to go back home and get it and come back up to the hospital. Since my hospital is about an hour and half from home, by the time they got back, Noah had already arrived.

He was born at 12:03 pm and weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz and measured 19.5 inches long. His middle name is after my paternal grandfather. We decided on his first name after Frederic arrived at the hospital with his things. Noah had to stay in the incubator until then, but only because in French hospitals, you have to bring baby's clothes; and since we didn't have those with us, we had to wait for Frederic to come back with them.

We returned home today, March 12th, and are glad to be home! Benjamin is very excited about his little brother, called "the baby," "baby Noah" (pronounced "no-ahhhh"), or "baby brother." Here he is practicing with his baby doll for Noah's homecoming:

And here is Noah.

Wow! That's how both of my babies were born - straight from the Doctor's office to the hospital. But mine didn't come quite that quickly! Congratulations - he is beautiful! And Benjamin is such a proud big brother! I wish you lots of sleep!

Bienvenu Noah !
