About those bats...

Six or eight of them, at least, are living in our garage!

Great Discussions with the Neighbors

Noah, coming back in from riding his bicycle: I had a great discussion with Sylvie and Marie.
Me: Oh? What did you talk about?
Noah: Grass, septic tanks, and bats.

Totally normal 11-year-old boy topics. Of course.

Parc Astérix

The school year is winding down - the boys have five weeks left, but the grading period is over, so we're not sure what the final five weeks are really for. They were off school today because the 9th graders had a test, so we went to Parc Astérix. It was a great day for it - great weather, and hardly any lines!

Top chefs

Somehow I don't think I'll ever get tired of the boys learning how to cook.

Cambrai Regional swim meet

Noah's group had a swim meet today way up north in Cambrai. There were 356 kids altogether on over 50 teams! Noah improved his 50-meter breaststroke by 3 seconds and finished 11th out of 51, and he improved his 100-meter medley by 7 seconds and finished 42nd out of 203.

In his team's 50-meter freestyle relay, they placed 17th out of 51 teams.

So many kids!!

And after our long, long day (Cambrai is about an hour & 45 minutes from us), we came home to a delicious pasta salad for dinner prepared by Benjamin. Yum!
