I like to talk to Noah when I tell him good night when I go up to
bed, and he's already sleeping. Or at least, I did like to, until last
night...
He said, "Tu veux me dire que si je te cuis à la poêle
il ne va rien se passer ?"
[You mean to tell me that if I cook you in a
pan, nothing will happen?]
I'm not sure I slept a wink all night.

Ski Trip
We had our first run-in with the "gilets jaunes" (yellow vests) on this trip. They were at one of the toll booths, and were letting people through for free. While it did save us a non-negligible amount of money, we were not thrilled to be forced to support them.
We went to Flaine this year, in Haute Savoie.
The ski area was closed part of Monday because it was snowing - low visibility and risk of avalanche. But it opened again on Tuesday and we had great sun most of the week.
I didn't ski, but I was there! |
My favorite part of every day! |

Benjamin's swim meet in Compiègne
Benjamin had a meet at Compiègne today. His age group, kids born from 2005 to 2007, swims with part of the Aisne department and part of the Oise department. Today, he swam 100-meter freestyle, 100-meter breaststroke, 400-meter medley, and 50-meter backstroke, and improved his time in every race.
Backstroke is Benjamin's best stroke. |
His butterfly has improved immensely over the past couple of years. |
