Frédéric's sister, her husband, and their daughter came over for lunch today so we went to take a look at the castle in Villers-Cotterêts which is being restored to be the home of the Cité de la Langue Française.

Detecting

When Noah is into something, he doesn't waste time. He went out last night, and this morning before school, and already found something. We might not have a yard anymore after this.

Club Meet

The swim club finally got to have their first post-Covid meet. This is an informal, unofficial meet which normally happens three times a year. The little kids see how a swim meet works, their parents get to see their progress, and the little kids can be inspired, seeing the big kids swim.

As one of the "big kids" now, Benjamin got to head up a relay team at the end, and Noah, sidelined with his broken arm, got to be a time keeper.

Emails from Noah

I told Noah he was going to cheer his teammates on at their meet even if he couldn't swim.

He emailed me 10 reasons he couldn't go:

1- I can't clap
2- I will have nothing to do
3- humid environnements are bad for the platre for it makes it bendable
4- humid environnements makes water go under the platre and after it will turn into many stinky nasty bacteria
5- I cheer team on saturday
6- I have homework
7- it is far and too far to go out to do nothing
8- too hot
9- too small gradins so nageurs will try to go up and they wet everything and after my platre is detroyed
10- No.

(Didn't work - he went anyway.)
