SAT Trip to Aix-en-Provence

Taking the SAT in France is not for the faint of heart. Last year, Benjamin and I took the train down to Aix one weekend so he could take the PSAT. This year, Noah joined us for the weekend, and we flew down this afternoon.

Space Time Continuum Conundrum

Benjamin's high school is really trying to help prepare him for college. They've put his math class and Greek class at the same time.

So when he solves the mystery of the space time continuum to be in two places at once, he'll be accepted at all the best schools. #challengeaccepted

Both in high school!

High school in France is 10th through 12th grades, so Noah and Benjamin will only be in high school together this year. Noah is entering 10th grade (seconde) and Benjamin 12th (terminale).

Terminale is a big year because it ends with the baccalauréat test, which gives you a high school diploma (or not) and helps determine where you'll be accepted for future studies.

Seconde is a year of getting used to high school before buckling down to choose specialty subjects and taking the French portion of the baccalauréat in première (11th grade).

It's rare they go back to school without jackets! Weather has been unusually mild this year.
