The week started off right with a fondue savoyarde. |
We thought since the boys are both already good skiers, they should try something new this year. |
Noah |
That started out ok, until Benjamin fell so often on his wrist on day one of lessons that Frédéric decided to take him to the hospital instead on day two. There, he got an x-ray, but to our relief, his arm was not broken, only sprained.
As you can see, he took it in stride. |
And a sprained wrist doesn't keep you from skiing, so he swapped his snowboard for skis. |
Noah and Benjamin swimming in the same meets keeps things easy for us and frees up a lot more weekends. They had a competition at St Quentin this weekend.
Benjamin walked away with a lot of first place medals in his category: 100-meter backstroke, 1500-meter freestyle, 200-meter backstroke, 50-meter backstroke.
Noah didn't win any medals but he did improve his 200-meter medley by a whopping 6 seconds!
Frédéric validated his qualification as finish judge.

It wasn't an easy one, after a lot of runaround about how and where to obtain an EKG for a minor, but at last, Noah got his medical certificate authorizing him to learn how to fly.
Next step, signing up at the flying club.
