Noah's baptism

On Tuesday, I had lunch with my parents and our friends Wayne and Betty Nunnery. They got to hang around all afternoon and join us as we headed to Ne-o-tez for Noah's baptism that evening.

Gateway Arch

Emiley and I decided to run down to the Arch after dropping the boys off at camp. Much better weather than last time we went, when it was pouring rain. As it was late in the day, we didn't go up, just visited the grounds and the gift shop.

Camp Ne-o-tez

I made Emiley drive to drop the boys off at camp for their fourth year. (That road is terrible!)

Laumeier Sculpture Park

The Columbians then abandoned us, but Emiley, Benjamin, Noah, and I continued our touristy day with a visit to the Laumeier Sculpture Park.

Ted Drewes

A trip to St Louis is not complete without a visit to Ted Drewes for frozen custard. Apparently I have let Emiley have a few incomplete trips before, so we remedied that this time.

We also had Imo's pizza, but you can - and should - absolutely give that a miss if you go to St Louis.

St Louis Zoo

We continued our weekend with a trip to the St Louis Zoo. (It's free!) Gavin, nephew and intrepid animal guide, told us everything we needed to know about the animals and more.

Family Game Night

Emiley came from Florida to visit for the weekend, and Jordan, Kacey, Caitlyn, and Gavin came in from Columbia.

And we're off!

Time for our trip to the US!

Traditional airport train photo

We love traveling in style, but it sure does spoil you for when you have to fly in cattle car.

4th of July

The 4th of July fell during the week, but at the weekend, we celebrated like good Americans with a hamburger cook-out with our cousins.
