Castlewood

The boys came back from camp, and less than a week later, they and I took off for the US for a month.

We started out in St Louis, where we stayed with my parents. When we realized the Butterfly House closes mid-afternoon, we changed our plans and went to Castlewood instead.

1918 Expo at Longpont

The boys left for camp 10 days ago, but the fun doesn't stop just because they are gone! With this year being the centennial of the end of World War I, there are a lot of expos and celebrations going on in our area.

Frédéric & I stopped in at an expo at Longpont, a village about 10 minutes from ours. They had vehicles from the time and some camps set up.

Very French spirit in this house - probably due to the World Cup.

Art Show at School

Noah's school organized an art gallery visit for the parents at the end of the school year. Their teacher, who taught the 4th and 5th grade classes again this year, is a jack of all trades! He taught them art and history at the same time.

Last Gymnastics Gala - ever

This was likely the boys' last gymnastics gala, since I think they have both decided to concentrate on just swimming in September. They've been doing gymnastics since they were about 2 and 4 years old, so it's the end of an era.

Last Official Swim Meet of the Season

Benjamin and Noah both swam in this last meet of the season, which included both the 9-11 year old group and the 12-14 year old group. They did a good job, and improved their times. And we parents survived another long day at the pool!
