Cambrai Regional swim meet

Noah's group had a swim meet today way up north in Cambrai. There were 356 kids altogether on over 50 teams! Noah improved his 50-meter breaststroke by 3 seconds and finished 11th out of 51, and he improved his 100-meter medley by 7 seconds and finished 42nd out of 203.

In his team's 50-meter freestyle relay, they placed 17th out of 51 teams.

So many kids!!

And after our long, long day (Cambrai is about an hour & 45 minutes from us), we came home to a delicious pasta salad for dinner prepared by Benjamin. Yum!
 

Just Keep Swimming

Benjamin had a swim meet this weekend in Château-Thierry. He improved by 4 seconds on his 100-meter freestyle, and by 2 on his 50-meter backstroke.

Boys' Swim Team trip to Pau

The boys' swim team decided to take a trip to Pau during spring break. One of the former lifeguards from our pool is the pool manager there now, so the team could borrow a lane every day for practice.

Sometimes they went swimming...  by Friday evening, Benjamin had already swum 50km (31 miles), and Noah 39km (24 miles).

But they also visited Pau, hiked in the mountains, ate at Burger King, had ice cream at least twice, visited a rugby stadium, and visited the Lindt chocolate factory!
