Every Chance He Gets

Weather is often unpredictable and frequently not conducive to flying, so Noah makes himself available as often as possible when the weather does allow him to fly.

News from Benjamin

Benjamin is keeping busy in Rolla!

Our friend James invited him out for a meal

He went to Ne-o-tez for a weekend retreat with McKnight Crossings Church

He joined the solar car design team in the St Patrick's Day parade

That last St Patrick's Day Parade photo is courtesy of our friends James and Laura who live in Rolla. Laura told me, "We kept yelling at him. He looked confused. Then James chased after him." What more could you ask of surrogate parents?

When your child thinks you are Southern...

Me, to Noah: Apparently last night, that wasn't rain, it was hail.

Noah: What was the devil doing???

(Someone please come tell this child I'm not Southern.)

Mesnilbus House Progress: March 2024

We're grabbing every chance we get to head to Normandy and work on the house so Frédéric's mom can move in as soon as possible. It's now been 18 months since the purchase, so it's starting to feel like it's taking forever.

Happy Birthday, Noah!

Noah is 16! We celebrated in Normandy. To celebrate his learner's permit, he drove us all the way there and back - 1000 km of his 3000 km done in the first week.

Second Teenage Driver

Noah finished his twenty hours of lessons through driving school, and the two-hour parent ride-along, so now he is released to drive with us for a minimum of a year and 3000 kilometers. France lowered the driver's license age this year from 18 to 17, so he'll be able to drive alone once he gets his license next year.

Previously, through the accelerated driving program, teenagers could get their license at 17, but not drive alone until 18.
