By the way, I have to rescind the offer of the hard hat. It was in the back window of the car, which was left out in the sun, and it got kind of mushy (the hat, I mean, not the sun. Or the car. Or the back window). So I pitched it before it turned into a yellow puddle.
Don't tell Alex. We'll get him a new one next year. (I don't think he's a hat person anyway.)
